For this game, I was the art director. This was my first time taking a leading role on a project and I think leading the vision for this project helped teach me organizational and documentation skills as well as self discipline for my own personal projects.

The first task I gave as art director was for the art team to make individual mood boards on Miro to get a sense of what colors, style, environment and characters would best suit the game. I then chose pictures from each mood board that I thought fit the theme the best and combined them into one mood board for the team to look back on and use as a resource.

From there, the team started making concept art and placeholder models for various assets that would then be added to the game later. By this point we knew our we would have a pirate ship environment, and a lighthouse environment, and that our player character would be a heavily stylized sea angel.

Our pipeline was pretty straight forward, using key concept art my team was then able to model and texture accordingly.

To keep my team and myself on track I documented everyone's tasks on google sheets.
